New Robert Johnson Photograph Authenticated

Robert Johnson (left) with Johnny Shines

A photograph of blues legend Robert Johnson has been authenticated after being discovered in 2005. Full story here.
This is only one of three photos we have of the man said to have sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for preternatural guitar skills; a theory given some credence by songs like 'Me and The Devil Blues', 'Hellhound on My Trail' and 'If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day' (below). Alternatively, he could have just gone away and worked really hard on those licks and scales. You decide.

What did you think of the speed-corrected versions of the Robert Johnson catalogue? I hadn't heard about this photo being authenticated, thanks for letting us know.

The Swede: I remember treading about these but the ones I own are the double Columbia thing that came out a while back. I believe I did hear some samples of the 'speed corrected' stuff but have no recollection of that they were like. Are they certain they needed 'correction' in the first place?
