Walk Quietly By (1995)
'Walk Quietly By' is from Bert Jansch's 1995 album, When The Circus Comes To Town. Bert, who died last year, thankfully had a bit of a splendid renaissance in the 90's after quite a few creatively fallow years. All his albums from this period of re-birth are well worth hearing and owning but Circus is my personal favourite. I once had the good fortune to have to sit, literally, at the man's feet during one of his shows. It was quite mesmerizing.

This was my favourite track from that excellent album....I asked Bert to play it when i met him as I documented in a Bert post. Fabulous track35
Bert is one of a small list of artists no longer with us, headed by Roy Orbison incidentally, who I had a chance to see live, but, for one reason or another, didn't. A big regret.
This is beautiful.
